Introduction
WIRE ROPE INSPECTION SERVICES
The main goal of our activities is to understand how scientific processes are responsible for producing the interactions and measurements observed in the projects we work on. We use a combination of approaches and technologies specially developed for use in Inspection related activities.
ABOUT US
Our Story
If there is one thing with working in the inspection and integrity management business for 20+ years has taught us one thing....no one knows everything!, even though they think they do. Through hard work and dedication, We have been fortunate to travel globally and conduct many different inspections in many different environments, these being from the Deserts in Africa to Offshore in Brazil to the most Northern Oil and Gas platforms in the North Sea. Since then, our research has progressed and evolved into new projects driven by the results of our experience.
Introduction to Wire Rope Inspection Services LLC.
Founded in Houston in 2017, WRIS LLC was established to provide Non Destructive Testing and inspection services to engineering companies in general and the oil industry in particular. OVERVIEW OF NDE AND ITS TECHNIQUES
Nondestructive testing or non-destructive testing (NDT) is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and technology industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.[1] The terms nondestructive examination (NDE), nondestructive inspection (NDI), and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) are also commonly used to describe this technology.[2] Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a highly valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research. The six most frequently used NDT methods are eddy-current, magnetic-particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, ultrasonic, and visual testing.[3] NDT is commonly used in forensic engineering, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, systems engineering, aeronautical engineering, medicine, and art.[4] Innovations in the field of nondestructive testing have had a profound impact on medical imaging, including on echocardiography, medical ultrasonography, and digital radiography.
PROJECTS
Past and Previous
Research involves constant investigating and redesigning of the scientific questions posed. The strength of our research lies in the breadth and depth of the experimental and statistical approaches we utilize in understanding the mechanisms that drive the systems we are studying. Learn more about our projects below.
INTEGRITY INSPECTIONS
LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations S.I 1998) inspections are vital to assets safety. These are conducted on assets globally. Items for inspections range from Drilling Handling tools, Fixed Point Inspections, General rigging equipment to Critical Load Path surveys.
EC DEAD END CONNECTION POINT
Post EC Inspections, which "sees through" coatings an MPI (Metal Particle Inspection) verification is required. Quite a considerable indication located once coating was removed. Repairs conducted and re-tested.
CRANE BOOM INSPECTION
In an effort to gain a better understanding of Metal Corrosion, we have recently begun to use a new technique to investigate the organization and functionality of the diverse parts. We are currently looking to expand this work by collaborating with other agencies who have the facilities and prior experience to investigate this project further.
